The Episcopal Church Women encourages the spiritual growth of all women of the diocese and national church through programs of worship, study, service and fellowship. Such programs include coordinating the United Thank Offering, raising money for seminary scholarships and special medical needs, and organizing a variety of conferences and retreats for Southland women. Parish/mission ECW branches are also active in numerous congregations of the Diocese.

United Thank Offering Ingathering: Each year, all Episcopalians church-wide are asked to contribute to the national United Thank Offering. Individuals usually fill traditional blue coin boxes, which are then collected in congregations and monies presented during the diocesan ECW annual meeting. Funds are then forwarded to national UTO officers, who represent the national ECW board and who allocate grants to qualifying ministry programs.
